Inguinal hernia surgery in India cuts the costs in half

This is Michael from Canada. INDIANHEALTHGURU made possible inguinal hernia surgery at Bangalore in India at a comparative less price. Before a couple of months of ago, I discovered that I was suffering from inguinal hernia.  I had pain in the groin area when coughing, sneezing, or lifting. I noticed a slight bulge or protrusion in the groin area that can be pushed back in. Other symptoms were constipation and blood in the stool. I had pain in the groin area when coughing, sneezing, or lifting. I noticed a slight bulge or protrusion in the groin area that can be pushed back in. Other symptoms were constipation and blood in the stool. Despite the stress of the diagnosis, I and my family weren’t going to be satisfied without exploring other options. So I enlisted an army of relatives and friends to research his options on the Internet. They made search for best surgeons all over the world. They found that one of the best places for patients with inguinal hernia surgery was in India. Learning that the Indian Health Guru, a medical healthcare group, were among the best in the nation impressed me and my family. I took drastic action after suffering from lot of pain. So, I emailed them and within a couple of hours Dr Dheeraj Bojwani had e-mailed me back and started the relationship and I decided within an hour after getting his e mail that this is the best company to go with. My next decision was whether to get inguinal hernia surgery at Bangalore in India performed laparoscopy or through a more traditional open surgery.  Their consultants helped me make all the arrangements with the travel, visa required to come to India, all details, answering all my questions promptly.

I arrived here within a week, I was met and greeted by their representative at the airport on the arrival and they were always there to support and resolve any situation that came up. I felt extremely well taken care of and pampered spent a day getting my pre operative investigations. It’s been very nice; in fact it was like going to a hospital in Canada. If the hernia bulge can be pushed back in and the symptoms are tolerable, you may not need surgery. My physician suggested that I should wear a special belt to support the area, and avoid heavy lifting. The surgery to correct the condition was performed under a local or general anesthesia, in the hospital. The surgery, called herniorrhaphy, repairs the opening in the muscle wall. Inguinal herniorrhaphy was performed using a laparoscope, a thin, telescope-like instrument that requires a small incision and involves a short recovery time.

During laparoscopic surgery, five or six small incisions were made in the abdomen. The laparoscope and surgical instruments were inserted through these incisions. The surgeon was guided by the laparoscope, which transmited a picture of the internal organs on a monitor. The advantages of laparoscopic surgery included smaller incisions, lesser risk of infection, lesser pain and scarring, and a more rapid recovery. Sometimes the weak area is reinforced with steel mesh or wire. This operation is called hernioplasty. I don’t remember much of the day of the surgery, I just slept through the day, but I do remember when I entered the surgery suite, … the place was so huge, with all modern facilities, so bright and amazing … I have never before seen in a surgery suite like that. When I came out of the surgery I was immediately covered with a warm blanket and the painkillers were started and did not experience any pain. The IV was kept on for three days. Since then I have been back in my room. Dr Dheeraj Bojwani couldn’t have been better leading me to steady progress. He is extremely charming and has a good sense of humor. The aftercare and my stay in hospital was wonderful, I was visited regularly by the doctors and nursing care staff.

The hospital food and the hygiene standards in the hospital were better than in Canada. The quality of medical care like any service delivery is to a large extent determined on the out come, and after complete recuperation, I can say with confidence that I was satisfied when I visited India for the inguinal hernia surgery at Bangalore. The entire surgery treatment facilitation abroad to India was handled excellently by the medical traveler assistance team of their health care. The care was unique right from the reception to the panel of doctors and to the pre and post surgery care.
